Los Angeles, CA – March 1, 2005 – Have you ever said to yourself, “I have a great idea … now what do I do?” Most everyone has had an idea or invention that they thought could be the next big thing but very few of these concepts are ever nourished or set into motion.† MADE IN THE USA taps into the spirit of invention and the American Dream like no television series has before. Unknown inventors and entrepreneurs will get the opportunity to develop their concept to fruition and earn an exclusive one-year sales contract to sell their product on the television shopping network HSN!

Casting will commence March 18th with a four-city open casting call beginning in Chicago on March 18th, in Los Angeles on March 19th, followed by Atlanta on March 23rd, and New York City on March 29th. Locations are as follows:

Casting Director Mary-Rachel Foot advises potential contestants to attend an open call if at all possible where they can meet the Casting Producer in person. If contestants are unable to make an open call, however, that does not count them out. They are encouraged to log onto www.usanetwork.com or www.nbc.com where they can find out where to send a VHS tape.

Contestants will participate in competitions, facing real-life challenges that inventors deal with in getting their product out to the public.† Each week, products and inventors will be eliminated until the ultimate payoff when one lucky inventor team wins a once-in-a-lifetime contract with HSN.†
