Bíró (Hungarian pronunciation: [ˈbiːroː]) was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1899. He presented the first production of the ball pen at the Budapest International Fair in 1931. Kevlar is used in bullet-proof vests and vehicles and her invention has saved countless lives.  She was born in the Pittsburgh suburb of New Kensington, Pennsylvania.
