New Robotic Lawn
Mowers Make
Summer More Fun for Everyone!
DOTHAN, AL, June 26, 2007 – Summertime is supposed to be fun time but
mowing the lawn is anything but fun. Now you never have to mow your
lawn again due to the latest in robotic technology available on
Robotic Lawn Mowers. Most consumers are not aware of the amazing new
technical advances robotic lawn mowers have achieved. Robotic lawn
mowers can now detect rain and wet grass and will not mow until
your grass is dry enough. Robotic lawn mowers are fully autonomous.
As their battery runs low, they automatically return to their
charger base and recharge before returning to your yard. You never
have to worry about your lawn or robotic mower all season long.

Robotic Lawn Mowers are going to be the next lifestyle changing
appliance in America.
Robot vacuum
cleaners automatically clean your home, working all day and all night if
needed. They don't complain and never need to be paid. Equally
exciting are new developments in robotic lawn mowers. If you're one
of millions of Americans who own a large yard or endure uncomfortably
hot summers, using a robot in your yard makes perfect sense. A
lawn “bot” can cut your grass with professional quality, handing
anything from a small yard to a large five acre estate. Everyone is
pressed for time these days, whether you are two working
parents, a single parent, have physical limitations or you just want
more time to get out and enjoy life, lawn robots can give you more
time to do the things you would like to do.
Robot Mower Fun Facts!
- Robotic lawn mowers can mow the yard, go back to their charger and
return to mowing on their own without human intervention.
- Rain sensors are becoming standard equipment. When it starts to
rain or the sprinkler system activates, they return to their charging
base.
- A perimeter wire, like an invisible dog fence is placed around the
yard to define the mowing area. Gardens, flowerbeds and trees can also
be easily protected. Running the wire is not difficult, you do it only
once and you don’t even need to bury the wire.
- Dogs get tired of barking at it after about an hour. Cats usually
run from it
.
- It only costs about $7.00 a year in electricity to mow an average
yard.
- Robot mower life expectancy is more than 10 years, about the same
as a new quality riding lawn mower.
- They are waterproof and won’t rust.
- Your neighbors will love to watch your robot and give you reports
on when your yard was last mowed.
- They are so quiet they can mow at night and not disturb you or
your neighbors.
How Safe Are Lawn Mowing Robots?
The greatest concern most people have about robotic lawn mowers is
safety. According
to Ames Tiedeman, National Sales Manager for Systems Trading Corp., the
US distributor for the Friendly Robotics Robomower, over 72,000
emergency room visits involved non-robotic lawn mowers in
2005. ZERO involved robotic lawn mowers.
Some robotic lawn mowers have sonar detection systems. If any
moving objects get close, they’ll slow down and if it gets closer,
they’ll stop the blade before even being touched. This advanced
feature makes them safe to use in areas where kids and animals frequent.
All have touch sensors so when they lightly bump into a stationary
object, they change direction and their tilt control stops the
spinning blade almost instantly upon being lifted only a few
degrees.
Another big concern is curious pets tangling with your robot.
There have been no reported accidents involving robotic lawn mowers and
pets. Dogs have a tendency to chase and bark, but not attack. Cat’s tend
to run the other direction. Goats are jealous and are concerned they may
be replaced by the robot.
Since these robotic lawn mowers are designed to mulch, there is no
outlet for flying debris. Pebbles and pine cones do not get tossed
very far and only at low velocity.
Robotic lawn mowers move relatively slow, people and animals can
easily move out of the way. If everyone used a robot lawn mower last
year, there would have been 72,000 fewer hospital visits.
Kerry Clabaugh, is an expert in the field of robotic mowers.
Through his company, Alabama Home Robotics Inc., he has sold
more robotic mowers than anyone in the USA. Along the way, he’s
picked up many interesting robot stories, tips and knowledge which he
shares with readers on his company’s web site,

The Bamabots.com site is updated frequently with unbiased product
reviews, a reader forum and homespun tales of robots in your yard with
titles like “Can Robotic Lawn Mowers Save the World?” and “Robotic Lawn
Mowers Keep Burglars Away!”. It’s fun to read and a great source of
information for anyone who is interested in learning more about lawn
grooming robots.
